THE FIRST WEST CHESTER FIRE COMPANY WANTS YOU!!

The only reason why The First West Chester Fire Company has been able to provide West Chester, East Bradford, West Goshen, Thornbury, Birmingham and Westtown with fire protection is because there has been members to get those fire engines out the door.  To keep that tradition going for the years to come we will need dedicated membership that has always been the back bone of our company.

The First West Chester Fire Company is always looking for active volunteers to join the company.  Every Wednesday Night at 6:00 we have a drill/training night.  During this time we always need help checking the engines  and the numerous about of equipment that accompanies them.

We are also looking for members to help with the maintenance of the station.  During the Spring we have our annual spring cleaning which consists of planting flowers, placing mulch, and other ground maintenance that needs to cleaned up after the winter months.

Our company is a non profit organization and twice a year we have our tag days when we ask the public for donations. We always need help to help collect money that will help keep the organization moving.  We are always looking into new fundraising ideas and we will need members to participate in those ideas.

Every year the Fire Company gets invitations to parades that offer prize money for fire engines and marching units.  We have a marching unit that is always looking for people to volunteer their time to go to the parade and represent our company.  To get the engines ready for the parade, we will vigorously clean each piece of equipment and truck the week before the parade and help is always needed to accomplish that task.

Through out the year, the Organization hosts many different gatherings.  Some of the gatherings are for the members and the public and others are for members only to thank them for everything that they have done during the year.

If you are interested in being a member of The First West Chester Fire Company you are welcome to come up to the fire house every Wednesday at 6:00 P.M. for general information and a tour.  Applications can be picked up during that time or you download a version of it.
